Large prints can be produced on rolled materials such as paper, self-adhesive vinyl, polyester and banner PVC. In addition, our investment in the latest large format printing technology enables us to print directly onto rigid substrates such as display card, Foamex, aluminium and acrylics.
Printing processes for large prints
Superchrome can advise on the best printing options your specific large print requirements. We offer three kinds of digital printing to suit different applications
- Inkjet printing is a popular choice for large format display graphics because it is so versatile and produces photo-realistic graphics with brilliant colour intensity. Inkjet printers use CMYK inks to produce full colour and can print onto a wide range of media
- UV printing (both roll-fed and flatbed) is a high quality, exceptionally durable and cost effective full colour process for large prints. It uses environmentally friendly UV inks cured with UV light. This process is ideally suited for outdoor graphics as it is highly resistant to UV light, water and abrasion so it can cope with all weather conditions.
- Lambda printing uses laser technology to produce the highest resolution available for top quality photographic prints from digital artwork on photographic paper, film or Duratrans. It is ideally suited for large format display graphics as it gives sharp photographic images, continuous tone and high-impact colour prints.
Choice of media
We supply large prints on a wide range of materials of different thicknesses, weights and finishes including photo paper, vinyl, film, mesh, canvas, and various textiles. Our flatbed printers can also print directly onto most flat surfaced rigid or flexible substrates including: PVC Foamex, ACM (aluminium composite material), acrylic, corrugated board, polycarbonate, polyboard, and card.
