Photo printing
Superchrome provides a service that goes beyond basic digital photo printing such as canvas prints, poster prints and acrylic prints. The most common print sizes include A1, A0, 1500x1200, and 2000x1000. However we can supply custom sizes on request and large format photo printing up to 2m x 3m.
Photo printing methods used
STANDARD UV PRINT
Our premium UV print system produces a high resolution of 720dpi - with consistent colour, a completely neutral gray balance, and perfect sharp edges. As the ink is cured by UV light, it is wipe- and water proof immediately. and has high moisture resistance
LAMBDA PHOTO PRINT
Lambda laser printing has an unrivalled reputation for precision exposure and traditional photo-chemical development. Classic exposure on authentic silver halide paper guarantees optimum sharpness and richness of detail with no print patterns and outstanding durability.
LARGE FORMAT PRINTS
Our modern photo printing processes produce sharp edges and fine details even for large format photographic prints. Prints have outstanding visual resolution with consistent colour characteristics and completely neutral gray balance. Large format photo printing is ideal for retail display, exhibitions, banners, and advertising material.
Choice of photo printing materials
HIGH GRADE PHOTO PAPER is available in a matte or glossy finish. It is extremely colour-fast with brilliant highlights, high contrasts, and outstanding durability. It is particularly effective for black and white photography or photos with relatively large areas of white.
ACRYLIC creates a deep, luminous effect and offers natural UV protection for your photo. It is lighter and less likely to shatter than conventional glass. Acrylic is best for colour photographs and digital images, particularly intense, lucent photographs and photographs with great depth or where an effect of depth is desired. Acrylic is less suited for black and white photography, gray tones, dark or pale images or images with a high proportion of white. Photo prints on paper would be better in these cases. Superchrome offers two types of acrylic photo printing:
Direct onto surface –The use of advanced inks and acrylic printing technology gives superior results with a wider scope of print possibilities, including the ability to print white inks directly onto the solid acrylic substrate. Fade and UV resistant inks combined with its durable properties and high moisture and weather resistance make it particularly suited for external signage and outdoor display
Film - Quality photographic prints on clear self adhesive film are placed between acrylic sheets and block boards. These products are supplied ready-to-hang with a choice of standoffs or brackets ideal for indoor display in home or office.
CANVAS has a subtle texture which creates a distinctive look for photographs. Canvas is a perfect medium for creating photo-realistic images for discerning clients who demand quality digital images such as professional photographers, galleries, museums, interior designers and artists.
